“Then an angel of the Lord said to Philip, "Get up and go toward the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." (This is a wilderness road.)” Acts 8:26
Gaza can be a metaphor for suffering and pain in today's world. We all must travel through the wilderness at times, and sometimes we end up in our own personal Gaza, where we didn't want to go.
Let us pray. Gracious God, give us the strength and courage to travel the road through our own wildernesses, and to face whatever struggles we may find at the other end.
