Lenten Devotion for March 20 written by Precious Adejumobi

“2 And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. 3 They had been saying to one another, ‘Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?’” (Mark 16:2 - 3, NRSVA)

On some days and at the start of some journeys, we know only half the plan and see just as far as our eyes can see. The reason we can go on anyway, is because we look to Jesus who already knows about the stones and can have them rolled away. Our part of the deal is to trust and press on daily.

Let us pray. Our Father in heaven who sees beyond, help us to take every step trusting the path you have set before us and in your ability to roll away obstacles. Impress faith upon our hearts and help us walk boldly despite our worries and fears. Amen.
